Paying for Fares with Apple Pay and Google Pay
No need to dig around for your card to buy your transit fares - you can now pay your way using Apple Pay and Google Pay!

Note: You will need to be connected to the internet to perform the steps below.
Paying with Apple Pay/Google Pay
Buying Tickets
- On the main screen, tap "Buy ticket".
Or tap the gear icon at the top left of the main screen and scroll down to find your agency under "Accounts" and then select "Buy ticket". - Select your fare type, accept the rules, and choose the number of them you'd like to buy.
- Follow the steps to sign in to your account or to create a new account. Check out this page to learn more about how Transit account works.
- Select "Apple/Google Pay" as your payment method.
- To add more tickets to your purchase, you can either tap on the ticket type you selected or tap on "Add another ticket". To finish your purchase, tap on "Proceed to payment" and finally "Buy with Apple/Google Pay". You can then choose to activate your ticket now or later.
Add Value to your Digital Wallet
- On the main screen, tap "Buy ticket".
Or tap the gear icon at the top left of the main screen and scroll down to find your agency under "Accounts" and then select "Buy ticket". - Select your fare type, accept the rules, and choose the number of them you'd like to buy.
- Follow the steps to sign in to your account or to create a new account. Check out this page to learn more about how Transit account works.
- Select "Apple/Google Pay" as your payment method.
- After signing into or creating a Transit account, tap "Add value to wallet".
- Choose the amount you'd like to add or enter a custom amount, then tap "Buy with Apple/Google Pay" to pay for the value you want to add to your account. You'll see a message on your screen confirming that the value has been added to your digital wallet.
- You can now complete your ticket purchase and select your balance as your payment method.
From the profile
If you only want to add value to your wallet without purchasing a ticket:
- Tap the gear icon at the top left of the main screen and scroll down to find your agency under "Accounts" and select "Create account". You'll be prompted to accept the agency's ticketing terms and make an account for their services.
Note: If you don't have a Transit account yet, you will be taken through the steps to create a Transit account. Your ticketing account will then be made at the same time.
- Once you're back in your settings menu, tap on your agency's logo again and then tap "Add funds".
- Choose the amount you'd like to add or enter a custom amount, then tap "Buy with Apple/Google Pay" to pay for the value you want to add to your account. You'll see a message on your screen confirming that the value has been added to your digital wallet.

Add Value for Scan-to-Pay
- On the main screen, tap "Buy".
- Tap "Pay with your mobile phone" to add money to your account.
- Follow the steps to sign in to your account or to create a new account. Check out this page to learn more about how Transit account works.
- Select "Apple/Google Pay" as your payment method.
- Choose the amount you'd like to add or enter a custom amount.
- Confirm your purchase by tapping "Proceed to payment" and then "Buy with Apple/Google Pay". You can choose to ride now or later.
Note: In some markets, if it's your first time purchasing fares in that city, you'll be asked to choose your fare type. You will always be able to update your fare type in the settings later!
Manage your Payment Methods
- After choosing your tickets or the amount to add to your digital wallet, tap the "Payment method" section at the bottom of the screen.
- Select "Apple/Google Pay".
- Tap "Buy with Apple/Google Pay" to finalize your purchase.
Note: If you do not go through with a purchase, your payment method will default back to the previous option.
