How to Purchase Tickets in Transit with Your Agency's App

Using Transit and your agency’s own app, you can purchase digital fares for your transit rides!

Note: You can access your tickets in your agency’s app regardless of whether you have a Transit Account.

From the main screen

One agency in the area
  • If you’re in a participating agency’s area, you’ll see a ticketing bar at the bottom of the main screen, you can tap "Tickets".
  • You’ll be redirected to your agency’s app, or prompted to download the app if you haven’t already.
  • Once you’re in the agency’s app, follow the instructions to use your digital tickets or purchase new ones.
Multiple agencies in the area

If you’re in an area with multiple mobile ticketing options available, the main screen’s ticketing bar will allow you to choose which agency you would like to proceed with.

Pro tip: If you select a line from the main screen, the according agency’s ticketing bar will be updated in the route details screen.

From the settings

You can also access your agency’s ticketing app services through Transit’s settings menu.

  • Tap the gear icon at the top left of the main screen.
  • Scroll down to find your agency under "Accounts".

  • If you have the app downloaded, you can then tap "Open ticketing app" to be redirected to your agency’s app. If you don’t, then you can tap "Download ticketing app" to download it on your phone or "Learn more" to be redirected to your agency’s webpage about their mobile ticketing services.
  • Once you’re in the agency’s app, follow the instructions to use your digital tickets or purchase new ones.
