Use Transit on Apple Watch

Having Transit on your Apple Watch allows you to quickly see schedules for nearby routes and find out where your stop is - no need to take out your phone!

Here's what this article covers:

Add Transit to your Apple Watch

In order to use Transit on your Apple Watch, you'll need to have watchOS 6.1, and Transit version 5.6.2 or above.

If Automatic App Install is disabled on your iPhone, open the Watch app and scroll down to find Transit under Available Apps. Tap  Install

You can also download Transit directly from your Apple Watch in the App Store.

See Nearby Routes

On the main screen, you'll find a list of nearby transit routes and their next departure time. If one of your favorited routes is nearby, it'll appear at the top.

To see info for the route's other direction, tap on the double-arrow button at the top right.

Scroll up/down to view departure times for other nearby routes:

Add a Route as a Favorite

To add a route as a favorite, select it from your nearby routes and firmly press the screen. A star will appear - great success! ⭐

To un-favorite a line, do the same thing: firmly press the route.

Your Watch favorites routes are synced to your iPhone. Any changes made on either your iPhone or Watch will be reflected on the other device.

See Next Departures

Tap on any route to see the next 3 departures at the nearest stop.

Get Directions to your Stop
