Check a schedule

⚠️ Note: this article has been revised to reflect Transit's latest update (Transit 6.0) which includes some major changes and new features. This update is being rolled out progressively and may not yet be available to all users. To check for updates:

  • iOS: open the App Store > scroll down to "Available Updates" > tap the "Update" button next to Transit.
  • Android:  open the Google Play Store > tap your profile icon > select "Manage apps & device" > tap "See details under "Updates available" > tap "Update" next to Transit.

On Transit, you can check the full schedule of any line at any stop. You can also differentiate between real-time and scheduled time to know exactly when you can expect your bus/train.

Here's what this article covers:

Check the schedule

  • On the main screen, tap the line for which you’d like to check the schedule.

  • You’ll see upcoming departures from the closest stop in the ETA cards.

  • To change directions, tap or swipe left / right on the two dots above the direction name.

  • To see the complete schedule, swipe left through the ETA cards and tap on “More departures”.

Check the schedule for a specific stop

To check the schedule for a specific stop, use the search bar to look up a line.

  • On the main screen, tap the search bar.

  • Enter the line name or number and select the relevant result.

  • Tap or swipe left/right on the two dots to change the direction.

  • Tap the stop you're interested in the list below to view the schedule.

  • You’ll see upcoming departures from the selected stop in the ETA cards. To see the complete schedule, swipe left through the upcoming ETA cards and tap on “More departures”.

Real-time schedules

As long as your agency provides them, real-time arrivals display by default in the ETA cards and the schedule screen.

Just like elsewhere in the app, real-time arrivals are bold and indicated by two pulsating waves, and scheduled times are in grey.

Here’s how real-time arrivals appear in the ETA cards and the schedule screen.

To compare real-time and scheduled arrivals, long press the button in the bottom right-hand corner.
